The Japanese group confirms the settlement of its first industrial platform in Africa / Middle East region within Tanger Med over an area of 6.5 Ha.
This plant will allow direct supply to PSA, Renault and other manufacturers, in parallel to other export markets.
This project will be located in Tanger Automotive City, the starting of the construction works will be in 2018.
The first phase of the project includes an initial annual production capacity of 230’000 units with a corresponding investment of 15 MEUR.
This new project will strenghten the competitiveness of the automotive sector firmly established within Tanger Med, which currently counts with more than 80 suppliers in operation and 5000 MEUR of exports in 2016.
